[streaming] Streaming to Windows Media Player

Hi all,
I am trying to set up some sort of universal streaming solution, to be
able to stream MPEG1 and MPEG2 videos to Windows, Linux and Mac, in both
vod and broadcast fashion.
The only problem I have is with Windows (of course!). No matter what I
try, I cannot stream anything at all to WMP9.
I have tried with :
vlc -vvv file.mpeg --sout
'#transcode{vcodec=DIV3,vb=256,scale=1,acodec=mp3,ab=32,channels=2}:std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,url=:8080}'
The windows client complains when I use "mmsh" protocol. I think it's to
force MMS over HTTP right ? Anyway, even if I try MMS:// with all
network protocols allowed in the WMP options, it still doesn't work.
From the VLC output I can't see any connection made by this client.
Is there any other way to make VLC talk to WMP ?
Thanks in advance,
