Can you give some more detail on what problems you see? Does the
receiving PC start the play back but is unable to continue? Or
does the playback never start?
Have you tested end-to-end connectivity on your network using
other applications like ping or ftp? This is the first test
you need to do. If you can, successfully send packets from
one PC to another over your network, then we can start
looking at why you cannot stream using VLC. However,
if you cannot reliably send other data over the network, you
need to study your network before spending time with VLC.
I am guessing that you are working with a wireless ad-hoc
network. If so, how are you implementing the multi-hop
routing? Is it all layer-2 or at layer-3?

If it is a true multi-hop ad-hoc network, you don't need to
configure VLC on the intermediate nodes. However, you can
*emulate* a multi-hop network by using VLC on an intermedia
node to receive the stream from the source node and then
re-send to the destination node. This can be done over
point-to-point links and does not really demonstrate an ad-hoc
network.
Hope this helps. If you need any more details, let me know.
