Hi,
I've been looking into the documentation of VLC, I've been trying to figure
out myself but I still do not know how to use VLC as a streaming server.
Here is what I have to do :
- I have an encoder win XP and VLC in location A (dynamical IP)
- I have a server win XP and VLC in location B (fix IP)
I have a file on my encoder that I open in VLC and start treaming it in
Unicast to my server.
How do I setup the VLC on my server to listen to all incoming demands from
my encoder, no matter what the IP of my encoder is, and as soon as it gets a
signal coming to it, it should start streaming it as it is (no transcoding)
to any client connecting to my server's IP, just like a traditional
streaming server (Darwin, Helix, WMServices).
Is this possible? If it is, could someone please tell me step by step what I
need to do?
Thank you in advance for your support,
Adrian.
