I have a very bizar problem. I generate a stream as follows
vlc muziekradio.pls
--sout='#transcode{acodec=mp3,ab=128,channels=2}:standard{access=http,mux=raw,dst=:11000}'
--sout-keep
Then I listen to this stream locally with
vlc http://localhost:11000
The sound is fine for 3 or 4 songs but then it becomes very choppy and
ultimately it disappears. If you change each song manually (using the
interface) after letting it play for a few seconds then the sound
also becomes choppy after 3 or 4 songs (in other words in this way you can
induce the problem very quickly).
This is a client problem since if you start/stop the sound on the client then
the sound is fine again. Furthermore the same stream plays fine in xmms.
I do not understand however how the client can be aware of song changes if one
uses the option --sout-keep.
I would be very happy is somebody could explain this to me.
This is on FC4 using vlc-0.8.5.
Regards,
Michel
