Jean-Paul,
I had a similar issue with 0.8.5 version - after Pause, Play would send a
teardown somehow. When I reverted back to 0.8.4a, it was fixed - but still
the video/audio quality is degraded once mpeg2 video is replayed after
pause.
I am experimenting on Win XP platforms for both server and client. Is there
any nightly that includes a fix for this, by chance?
Thanks,
Pushkal

This is a known problem in vlc-trunk (unstable version).

Because RTSP PAUSE PLAY sequence is broken.
