Register. But I don't thinks it was a question of number ; I now
duplicate the lock-up with a much smaller number of streams.

It's not really a crash, it's a lock-up; vlc still run, but doesn't
do anything (visible) or answer socket.

I have stopped forwarding RTSP streams, as it's useless ; my
wrapper now simply forward the original URL.

The simple fact of registering streams (17) from the DVB-T card
sometimes cause vlc to crash. My wrapper open a socket connection
to the vlc telnet interface and issues commands that way, waiting
10 seconds between streams. I *believe* the problem appears when
I try to register a stream that doesn't work somehow, either
because the station isn't broadcasting or for some other problem.
I only register 17 because the 18th (CANAL+) will cause a lock-up
more often that not ; they also only broadcast during a small part
of the day (it's mostly an encrypted channel) ...
