  I think the 'lesson' is that the VLM interface is not forgiving. Close 
enough is good enough for the command line, but not VLM.

  I've now got a VLM config file that attaches to 3 DVB-T cards and one 
DVB-S card and multicasts out 9 video streams - and there are few more 
on the satelite transponder to configure up yet..
  (The server has a gigabit NIC to gigabit infrastructure, so the 
network should stand a chance of coping...)
