PCI-X GigE should help, but need to be tested. But mixing PCI-X and PCI
cards on the same bus is not good solution :(

I've encountered, that systems with SMP works worse for DVB reciever side.

Short time ago I'd set up the system with 3 DVB-S (Skystar2) cards in 1.5GHz
Duron system. It works with 80% CPU load, but stable.
