I have tried that already, and still faced trouble with "rewinding" the stream.
Also, I'd rather like a complete server-side solution, as I'd prefer it is not
client specific. But thanks for the suggestion.
Actually I try to deliver one full-length news file in VOD, but at diffferent
start points corresponding to different stories in that news file. I have a web
page that present each story, and would like to link each story. Also, as the
segmentation may not be 100% accurate, I want to preserve the suer the ability
to rewind or go forward in the stream. therefore, the best way would have to
either being able to navigate through chapters, but they don't seem to be
transmitted with the stream, or using a start time on the server side, then
letting the user pilot the stream with an RTSP client.
