Hi folks,
I´m on troubles with Familiar Linux version of VLC. In short, I have a
desktop running windows and VLC, which is streaming a video using RTP. On
the same network than the desktop, I have a notebook with two network
interfaces. The first one, wired, is linked to the same network than the
desktop. Tha last one is wireless and is in the same network than a iPAQ3900
running linux.
Well, the problem is that I cannot reproduce the stream sent by the desktop
on the PDA. After a better investigation using tcpdump, I´m seeing that VLC
client, in the PDA, sends a join message to the multicast group. After this
message being sent, a lot of packages start arriving in the PDA, however,
oddly, VLC sends another igmp message, now for leaving the multicasto group.
I did also try to stream using http. In this case I did not used tcpdump,
but the result was the same: cannot reproduce the stream. Well, does anybody
has some hint about what is going wrong here?
Loreno
