[streaming] How many movies in vod-server

Hi

I have a streaming server under Debian Sarge (vlc 0.8.1) which serves ca 90 mpeg2 movies in vod 
mode. The size of this movies is around 3 or 4 GB.
After I've added the last 15 movies 3 weeks ago the quality of the severeal streams are not so good 
anymore, bad colors and a lot of small boxes. It looks like decode errors or something.

Are there a upper limit for the over-all-size of movies or something like this?
