[streaming] video size question??

Hi,

I am also trying to stream the video from my intel usb webcam but I 
cannot set my video size to other sizes (with aspect ratio 4:3) except 
16x120, 320x240 or 640x480.
I wanted to be around 400x300 or some other sizes which still have the 
aspect ratio of 4:3 but clients cannot receive anything when I stream 
the video size other than the above mentioned sizes.
Is it related to VLC or my webcam??? Can somebody guide me if it is 
possible what I am trying to accomplish??
