Hi,
I've same problem and I'm trying to resolve the issue, but not yet succeed, you can start the log for VLC on Windows from Settings->prefrences->interface-> check log to file, and in
Settings->prefrences->Advanced->Logging, set the path for log file.
may be it help you.

I have a streaming server that is open port for streaming using mmsh protocol. The streaming client is then connect to the server using mms protocol. The stream has about 4-second delay which is expected. However, the video stops playing after about 30 seconds. I then have to press the stop and play button for the stream to start again. If I switch to full screen mode, the video stops after about 5 seconds. This also happens if I use http protocol. I suspect there is a corrupted packet or loss happens during the transmission which causes VLC to stop playing.
Is there a way I can force VLC to retry decoding the stream?
Does VLC write any kind of error log (running in Windows)?
Thanks,
Mik
Thanks & Regards,
