[streaming] Error concealment about ffmpeg and VLC

Sorry about a bit off key of this post. As VLC uses the same libs as ffmpeg,
I am hoping that somebody could help me on this.
I am using VLC to stream a mpeg4 coded by ffmpeg. However the number of
frames received and stored in the client-side file is less than the number
of original video. Does ffmpeg or VLC offer any kind of error concealment to
either interpolate or compensate the lost frame? So that both the original
and reconstructed videos have the same number of frames.
Thanks much for your time.
