when I launch the VLC GUI, and configure it such that it presents me
with these MRLs, I do not get the desired behavior from my client:
pvr:// :pvr-device="/dev/video1" :pvr-radio-device="/dev/radio0"
:pvr-norm=0 :pvr-frequency=-1 :pvr-bitrate=-1
sout=#duplicate{dst=std{access=udp,mux=ts,dst=229.82.201.4:1234,sap,group="CSU_MIPTV",name="Channel
One"}}
this generates an SAP announcement in the playlist of the client,
whereas when I double click on "Channel One" in the playlist under the
CSU_MIPTV group, the stream is not launched, and I see no video.
nor, when I launch VLC this way:
vlc -vvv pvr:/dev/video1 :pvr-radio-device="/dev/radio0" :pvr-norm=0
:pvr-frequency=-1 :pvr-bitrate=-1 --sout
'#duplicate{dst=std{access=udp,mux=ts,dst=229.82.201.4:1234,sap,group="CSU_MIPTV",name="Channel
One"}}'
the playlist SAP announcement appears, but does not launch video when
double clicked!
I notice that in both cases, if I right click on the SAP announcement in
the playlist, the Stream Information URI is listed as:
udp://229.82.201.4@229.82.201.4:1234
if I am to choose the Open Network option from the menu, and choose
UDP/multicast 229.82.201.4 port 1234, the video stream is launched. in
the playlist, a new item appears: @229.82.201.4. the Stream Information
for this playlist item is udp://@229.82.201.4
my goal is to launch this stream from the CLI, so that when the playlist
entry appears, it can be double-clicked, and the stream is launched.
can anyone suggest any changes to the command line I've tried, above?
