[streaming] Stream to Windows Media Server (8 or 9)

Hi, did anybody try to stream from VLC to Windows Media Server 8 or 9? 
Does it work?
I can stream through account on academical network - bacbone 1 GiB/s I 
would like to use VLC in the best case from Linux.
