If VLC is used as a RTSP *client*, then IPv6 RTP streams are not 
currently supported (because the "LIVE555 (formerly LIVE.COM) 
Streaming Media" library - which is used to implement the RTSP client 
protocol - does not yet support IPv6).

However, if VLC is used as a RTSP *server*, then IPv6 might be 
supported (I think).
