[streaming] Receive mpeg4 stream, restream as mjpeg

I'm trying to use a camera-monitoring program that can only use mjpeg
streams. (The computational work involved in reconstructing individual
frames from the mpeg4 deltas before doing comparisons for motion detection
is apparently too much.)
I'd like to make the program work with an mpeg4-only camera, by having VLC
"restream" the mpeg4 stream as MJPEG.
I can view the camera stream with VLC. If I try (using the GUI) to stream
it back out as MJPG (no audio), the program fails to detect it. If I
capture that stream, no program recognizes it as a valid MJPEG ASF file.
(I'm using the ASF container.)
Any experts out there?
