[streaming] video play problem

[JOHNNY GEORGIOU]

My VLC media player (0.8.6a) can not play a video.I try to play through media player (9 series ,and I have win xp) and also it can not play , because it need a mp4v code(said the messege). Through the media player web site help  can't find it (mp4 code) in the  web.Can you help me about it.
