Unfortunately VLC 1.2 is not yet ready for translation updates. The PO files 
have not been synchronized with the source code which means the files are much 
out-of-date. Furthermore the list of strings is still subject to change as 
developers modify the software.

You should target VLC 1.1.8, in vlc-1.1.git, for translation files at the 
moment. We will automatically import the VLC 1.1 translations into VLC 1.2 
when VLC 1.2 reaches code freeze.
