What's wrong with the speed ?

 I enjoy VLC,but I have some problem:
 when VLC  play the mpeg2 file on Windows 2000 or  Red Hat Linux,the frame 
is disconnected . but the mpeg1 file is normal, what is wrong with VLC ?
Please help me !
