Hi,

Just compiled VLC from CVS and am having various problems with different
DVDs. These problems first started shortly after the version change to
0.3.0 (in CVS, before 0.3.0 final came out) and have not improved. :/

*************************************************************

Compiled on Red Hat 7.2 fully up to date w/ 2.4.18 kernel.

compiled with:
 ./configure --enable-dvdread --enable-dvbpsi --enable-mad
--enable--ffmpeg --enable-gnome

libdvbpsi-0.1.0 (both with and without)
libdvdcss-1.1.1 (and previously 1.1.0 with same errors)
libdvdread-0.9.2
libmad-0.14.2b-3 (both with and without)

*************************************************************

Trying Copland I get this when I try and load the dvd...
(all errors shown from vlc -vvvvvvvv)

dvdread: open VTS 1, for title 1
vlc: ifo_read.c:1154: ifoRead_C_ADT_internal: Assertion `info_length /
sizeof(cell_adr_t) >= c_adt->nr_of_vobs' failed.
Aborted

*************************************************************

When trying Pi it runs the DVD but with huge performance problems with
loads of late pictures that make watching an unpleasant experience as
both audio and video ocasionally just freeze.

This error is produced from a regression as I got it with a DVD I have
watched (X-Men) fine under the early 0.3.0 CVS but since 0.3.0 final and
0.3.1 I just tried it again (to make sure it isn't the DVDs) and get a
very dodgy viewing quality.

**********************************************************

I hope these error msgs can help. You have a great product and the
regression is a great shame :(

Thanks

Jon
