Coming soon (I hope): RTP & RTSP support

I hope soon to be able to complete TODO list item "0x29: Support for 
RTP".  I have recently added RTP & RTSP streaming support to "mplayer" - 
see <http://www.live.com/mplayer/> for details.

I hope to add similar support to "vlc", using basically the same approach 
that I took for "mplayer":  Adding new 'demultiplexer' code that uses the 
"LIVE.COM Streaming Media" libraries to receive RTP, but which looks - to 
the rest of "vlc" - just the same as if "vlc" were reading from a file.

Over the next few weeks I'll be updating this mailing list on my progress.
