want to know the diagram of VLC

hello, everyone, i'm studing the source code of  VLC. i have read these 
code for a quite long time. but i feel that i cann't understand it independently. :(
who can tell me the internel operation of the VLC when receive a video from 
lan and play it locally. in such a process, what function or thread is runing?
or who know the block diagram of the whole VLC.
