I wonder now if it really makes sense to use an "input_title" config
variable. It would seem more logical to integrate the title, chapter and
angle selection into the url passed to vlc ( eg: vlc
dvd:<device>:<title>:<chapter>:<angle> or whatever).

If you think about it, a config variable is used to set a default parameter
for vlc but for a whole session, not just a playlist item. If you use the
--input_title option this means that all the dvds you enqueue in your
playlist will start at this default title, which is likely not what you want.
(Well maybe some people would be interested in that so we could also keep
these config options which would then set a default starting title which
could in turn be overloaded on a per playlist item basis).

Am I making sense ?

Cheers,
