Thanks for your two answers. This mpeg2dec snapshot runs, but I noticed
that the libtheora is not included (installing this from the package on
the website was no problem) in the latest /usr/local archive of
Christophe Massiot and "the libogg [is] posterior to the 1.0 release"
(it is possible to build vlc, but I get that message).
