[vlc-devel] VLC 6.0.1 - segmentation fault error RH8

Hi,
I downloaded a CVS version on 31-July2003 and went through the standard
build process on RH8.0 running on an i686 laptop. I had no problems on
bulding the application.

Then I did a new CVS update on 01-Aug-2003, with the following command as
per the instructions

cvs -d :pserver:anonymous at anoncvs.videolan.org:/var/cvs/videolan login
cvs -d :pserver:anonymous at anoncvs.videolan.org:/var/cvs/videolan -z3
checkout -P vlc

I recompiled the new source with the same process as I did on 31-Jul, and
everything compiles without any error.

But now I get

[root at rama linux]# vlc
VideoLAN Client 0.6.1 Trevelyan
Segmentation fault
[root at rama linux]#

I then downloaded the standard source release vlc-0.6.1.tar.gz from the
videolan download site, and even that compiles OK but gives me segmentation
fault.

Anybody got any idea why ?? Please help.

Best regards
Simon.
