[vlc-devel] broken modules

I know of at least two packages which are currently broken. (i.e. create
crashes when you use them). The xgma (matrox) is the most prominent one. I
think we should actually remove this module alltogether, because it's
slow. It might still be useful for a select group of ppl however with
machines with a low-end configuration for instance.

If we do not remove it, i vote to deactivate the code by editing the
Modules.am file so this module is no longer included in the distribution.
it will keep the code in current cvs, so someone might be able to fix the
module if he wants, but we do not longer distribute broken code and don't
have any way users can fall in this small pitfall.

The last time I checked the KDE module (0.6.0) it was broken as well. i
don't recall anyone has worked on this since then, and it is confusing
users greatly i think. either the module needs to be fixed, or it needs to
be disabled until it is fixed or removed.

Comments, flames and constructive ideas are welcome,
DJ
