Subject: Building libvlc

Hi,
I am wanting to build vlc as a dynamic library on its own. From my
current understanding of the build process, this cannot be done (please
correct me if I am wrong). The reason I need to do this is so that my
application can link to it and embed a video output view in it. My
intentions to go about doing this is to write another interface module
for mac os x, so that when building just a vlc library, it will build
in my interface, otherwise it will build the current one.

If I have misunderstood anything to do with the way vlc works, please
correct me. If anyone has any tips or general info on how to accomplish
this I would greatly appreciate it.

Regards,
Greg
