[vlc-devel] Problems building VLC 0.6.0 on RH9

I'm having problems building VLC 0.6.0 (from the vlc-0.6.0.tar.gz file on videolan.org/vlc/

This same system built 0.5.3 fine, and it's not lost on me that I probably haven't done something 
correctly when trying to update all of the dependencies for 0.6.0.  However, some help would be 
much appreciated!
