[vlc-devel] no audio!

Dear gurus here,

I tried vlc (both 0.5.3 and 0.6.0) on my redhat 7.3.
there is no audio out! (video no problem at all)
my sound driver works perfectly under xine and mpg123.

error messages always are:
main audio output error: couldn't find a filter for the conversion
main audio output error: couldn't set an input pipeline

my compile and installation had no problem either.

anyone please help?
