[vlc-devel] more 'make install' questions ...

Lois,

Thanks -- ./configure --prefix=[directory to install to] indeed works.  Is there a way we can 
specify it at install time, however, instead of configure time?  We see where the generated makefile 
sets "prefix=/usr/local" but we've not found what generates this ... the idea being if we can set it 
to an environment variable or something ...
