There is still quite a major issue though : BeOS usually uses YUY2 
chroma for overlay display and RGB32 for non-accelerated display, and 
none of these chroma are yet supported by the freetype renderer. Did 
someone already plan to add the needed routines ? Or perhaps it is 
possible to add the subtitle before the I420 -> YUY2 conversion (as 
most decoder output I420 AFAIK) ?
