If you have the Apple Developer tools installed, build 
/Developer/Examples/CoreAudio/HAL/Daisy.

If not, Daisy is available here:
http://nanocrew.net/osx/daisy.tar.gz

1. Start Daisy.app
2. Select device: Sonica
3. Set Physical Output Stream format to cac3
4. Try using e.g. iTunes
5. Notify counter terrorist unit of hostage situation
