   Sorry, that would make the packages uninstallable on a woody system. I
suppose you are using sid, please wait until the packages end on your
local mirror (they were accepted in the Debian incoming a few hours ago,
it shouldn't take long now). If using sarge, you'll have to wait an
additional 10 days until vlc enters the distribution.
