I was always really impressed by the visiual quality of DVD playback in
VLC. Its much better than PowerDVD on Windows for example. I really
hope that libmpeg2 lives up to that challenge. Have any tests been done
to see wether the visual quality is the same?

Being able to watch Sorenson v3 movies definitely qualifies a jump to
0.6.0. This is an awesome new feature!
I just hope someone examines the very long launch time of VLC since the
0.5.0 release. This is my only gripe with VLC. If VLC is compiled with
plugins built in, launch time does not improve. Why?
