[vlc-devel] repost: IPv6 problem DNS lookup with http

All,

I'm still having problems with IPv6 on HTTP progressive download:

* vlc -c
VLC media player - version 0.6.2 Trevelyan - (c) 1996-2003 VideoLAN

* host -t aaaa speeldoos.ipv6.surfnet.nl
speeldoos.ipv6.surfnet.nl has AAAA address 
2001:610:508:116:260:97ff:fe4f:a251

* not working:
vlc http://speeldoos.ipv6.surfnet.nl/triplex.vob
vlc --ipv6 http://speeldoos.ipv6.surfnet.nl/triplex.vob
vlc --ipv6 http6://speeldoos.ipv6.surfnet.nl/triplex.vob

* working (litteral only):
vlc http://[2001:610:508:116:260:97ff:fe4f:a251]:80/triplex.vob
vlc --ipv6 http://[2001:610:508:116:260:97ff:fe4f:a251]:80/triplex.vob
vlc --ipv6 http6://[2001:610:508:116:260:97ff:fe4f:a251]:80/triplex.vob

Is there anything related to DNS/name subbling that might be in wrong 
order? Why can't VLC resolve the DNS, is IPv4 first/prefered, or am I 
doing someting wrong?
