[vlc-devel] MPEG PS with MP4VES

Hello VLC developers,


I am working with MPEG-2 Program Streams that contain:
- one MPEG-4 Video Elementary Stream
- one MPEG-1 Layer III Audio Elementary Stream

However, the VLC demuxer starts a MPEG-2 video decoder thread
for the video stream.

Can someone point me to the location in the source where the
decision for MPEG-2 decoder is made? I would like to force it

to MPEG-4 for my specific application.

I can upload an example file if someone wants to look into this, but
I am eager to provide a patch myself as well.
