[vlc-devel] vlc datarate calculation

I have converted a VOB file to a TS file (transport stream format).

However, VLC does not calculate or place the data rate (kbps) in the
file header. Changing various options has no effect. The rate stays at
0.0 kbps. My post processing software requires that this field be
populated and thus fails.

Any idea how to fix this? I am assuming that mplayer reports this
correctly ;-).

Using VLC-0.7.2
Fedora Core2
