[vlc-devel] deinterlacing & aspect ratio

Hello,

When using the deinterlace filter,
--deinterlace-mode set to discard or mean changes the rendered video 
resolution (compared to not deinterlacing)
--deinterlace-mode set to blend, bob or linear do not changes rendered video 
resolution.

Why ?

I could understand that we end up with 1 line difference, but the width is 
changed too ! Is that related to aspect ratio ? and isn't it a bug ?
