If you build proper RPM packages for SuSE, we'll be happy to offer them 
for download on the websit.

Note however that delays for maintainers to release package when a new 
version is to be released are fairly short. So you should track the 
activity a little on vlc-devel if not on videolan's IRC channel 
#videolan on Freenode which is probably the best place.
