More testing this time with the dvdnav plugin. The results are different 
and look better, but still not super:

* Terminator plays now flawlessly
* LOTR nothing changed still works fine ;-).
* Matrix no such luck doesn't work at all, only the same error message 
see the logs. (BIG log from just a minute of playing!!!, so uploaded a 
truncated log.)
* Dune plays fine too (didn't let it run till the end though) BTW: 
please remove vlc-dvdnav-dune.log because I think it is from an earlier 
matrix run. The correct log here is vlc-dvdnav-dune2.log

Again I uploaded log files to /incoming for the DVD access plugin 
authors to look at.
