No way this is going out of the wxWindows interface. I simply refuse to 
sacrifice useability for advanced users just to have a sleeker and simpler 
interface for newbies.
I agree that compromises must be made to have a user-friendly enough 
interface and the MRL is one of these compromises. This MRL allows advanced 
users to specify "uncommon" options they know about without having the need 
for cluttering the interface.
I think what might be missing though is a comment saying something like "for 
advanced users only".
