[vlc-devel] embedding VLC into a webpage

Is it possible to embed VLC player into a webpage just as MS media
player is embedded in a website with "<embed>" HTML tag? 

Also, Can you explain how I can make the VLC's playing screen stay
visible at start and possibly fix its size and location? Right now, it
only pops up when it actually plays something.
