FYI, the "LIVE.COM Streaming Media" code <http://www.live.com/liveMedia/>
supports the streaming of data from WAV files (over RTP). It contains two
test programs that illustrate this:
- "testWAVAudioStreamer", which streams via multicast
- "testOnDemandRTSPServer", which streams via unicast
(each of these programs contains a built-in RTSP server).
In each case the stream can be played by the VLC media player client.
