Strange because I'm usinf cygwin under windowsXP for cross compiling and it
works very well.
Maybe you had one step wrong. I would suggest to re-start from the
beginning ....
Anyway, I remember when I first tried, I had some problems too as cygwin
doesn't install everything the ./configure needs. So try to check if there
isn't anything missing.
