Welcome as our SuSE package maintainer!

Maybe you can start with the VLC-0.8.0 release and package it with its 
dependend 3rd party libraries. The source code for VLC 0.8.0 and most of 
its 3rd party libraries can be found here:

Do not be afraid to ask questions on this list or our other support 
channels (irc). Again welcome!
