As you say, the core supports this just fine. And the api is ready and clean
( the vlm section, if you're curious ). So supporting this isn't harder than
the actual gui programming. I don't belive this is a generally needed
feature, so I don't think it will be implemented by us, but you are free to
fix it for yourself.
