[vlc-devel] H.264 playback with VLC

Current mencoder CVS added support for x264. Using x264 rev46 it is 
possible to encode h.264 in an AVI container (which is not the 
recommended container for h.264,sure, but this is mencoder..).

Such streams are decodable with libavcodec, however, VLC seems not able 
to play them.
