[vlc-devel] acquiring in different files

Hi all, using VLC i've the necessity to acquire a source and to write this in a file.When it reaches N mbytes or  N minutes,it have to close file and continue to save it in another file. All this without loss frames from my source during this operation. Is it possible in VLC or someone is developing this?
